The following photos are of my private collection of HO scale, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, and Dinky Toys vehicles. The models are not for sale.
I grew up on a cattle ranch in Namibia- southern Africa. As long as I can remember I played with Dinky Toys, on the ranch and later in the boarding school. The first Dinky Toy I had bought with my own money was the Volkswagen - it cost me 4 shillings.
Most of the cars and trucks were trade ins or bought used from well to do kids in the boarding school. Even as a ten year old I repaired and painted them. And I kept them all.
Now we live in Tucson, Arizona. A friend of mine introduced me to HO trains, but over the years my interests shifted over to 1/87 vehicles, mostly of models of the 40s, 50s and 60s. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
